United States: Former President Donald Trump criticized Joe Biden after Biden’s apparent 30-second stutter during his speech at the National Rifle Association (NRA) annual convention over the weekend.
More About the News
Trump, while rallying gun-carrying Texans for the November presidential election in Dallas, experienced an unexpected moment of silence, as reported by independent.co.uk.
Supporters of the current President, Joe Biden, quickly criticized Trump on social media, labeling him “feeble” and questioning the mental capabilities of Republicans.
However, Trump claimed the incident was a fabricated story by Biden’s campaign in a rant on Truth Social.

Political Attacks by Two Presidential Contenders
With a sporadic use of capital letters, Trump said, “The Biden Campaign… put out a Fake Story that I ‘froze’ for 30 seconds, going into the ‘Musical Interlude’ section, when in actuality, the 30 to 60 second period of silence is standard in every one of my Speeches where we use the Music,” as independent.co.uk reported.
As an attempt to turn around the events in order to attack Biden, who has usually been criticized for his memory and mental fitness, Trump said, “The reason they came up with this Disinformation is that Biden freezes all the time, can’t put two sentences together, and can rarely find his way off the stage without help. Donald Trump doesn’t freeze!.”
Trump even addressed the Texan gun owners as “The Texas spirit of proud independence was forged by cowboys and cattle hands, ranchers and rangers, oil workers, soldiers, and brave, brave, brave, pioneers,” independent.co.uk reported.
Further, as a conclusion, Mr Trump concluded after taking a half-minute pause, “Many came here with nothing but the boots or their feet, the clothes on their back, and the gun in their saddle. Together, they helped make America into the single greatest nation in the history of the world.”
Additional Incidents During the Speech
During the speech, Trump also experienced a moment where his podium tilted, leading Biden’s campaign team to mockingly claim he fell hard due to leaning on it too much. Trump, however, insisted the podium buckled but credited his quick reflexes and strength for preventing it from falling, asserting that the media falsified the report.
On Truth Social, Trump said, “As far as the podium, I actually stopped it from falling due to good reflexes and strength, two elements which Joe Biden does not possess.”
